C. Marvin Pate has made this book for readers to see different interpretations of the book of Revelation at  the same time.  There are four approaches: idealist (spiritual), preterist (past), historicist, and futurist.  The approaches are laid out in columns next to the Greek text and a literal translation.

About the Authors- C. Marvin Pate is the author and editor of numerous items related to eschatology and Revelation.  He is the professor of biblical studies Ouachita Baptist University.

My thoughts- Reading Revelation is a wonderful book for Bible studies, college student, professor, pastor or anyone interested in the different view points.

If I were in a Bible study and we were studying the book of Revelation, I would make sure we had this book to study the different views.  And this could help us understand why there are different views and how we in a group can discuss the views and either agree or agree to disagree.

I liked the Greek text and literal translation, because I knew where the Bible verses began and ended.  I had a difficult time in some parts of the book, because there was not enough separation between the Bible verses and viewpoints.

I would recommend this book to all who are or plan on studying the book of Revelation
