Picture of the Week! (August 18, 2014)- Cooking Fun

C has really enjoyed baking cookies this summer.  These are not cookies from this year, but from a couple of years ago.  Making these cookies together must be what inspired C to want to make cookies this summer.
She has even been baking cookies to take to church.  She has a very giving heart.

Delicious Shortbread Cookies

Shortbread Cookies

1 cup butter
½ cup powdered sugar
¼ cup cornstarch
1 ½ cups flour

Whip butter until fluffy. Stir in the rest of the ingredients and beat well. Drop by teaspoons onto a non-greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 12-15 minutes; watch the edges so they are not too brown. Cool on wire rack. Makes 2 dozen.

These are some of my favorite cookies. I hope you like shortbread cookies too.
