Things Kids Say

I am not sure who wrote this, but I would like to share this with you.

The teacher called on little Charlie, "Tell me what you know about George Washington. Was he a soldier or a sailor?"
"I think he was a soldier," replied Charlie.
"Why do you think he was a soldier?"
"I seen a picture of him when he crossed the Delaware and any sailor knows enough not to stand up in a rowboat."

Gobble to Goop from my son (five-years-old)- Squashed Up Bread and Sauce

If you ever want something good ask me. I have a good recipe. It is called squashed up bread and a sauce for all of you. If you have ketchup you can make a good sauce. You need oregano, garlic powder, onion powder and Italian seasoning as you like them. That is all you need. Mix the seasonings with the ketchup and just pour the sauce over the squashed up bread. The squashed up bread will be delicious. The end.

Peace For You

I do not know who wrote this, but I wanted to share it with you.
May today there be peace within.
May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others. May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content with yourself just the way you are.
Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.

Tomatoes and Chives update

I have been able to cut the chives that I have moved to the window. I still have had no luck with the tomatoes. They are still green. I have been using a small space heater to try to warm up the room. It has been getting warmer outside, so the house should start warming up soon. I suppose I could also move the AeroGarden to the window. What do you think I should do?

Gobble to Goop from my son (five-years-old)- Old Wyoming

This picture was taken of a parade a long time ago. I think it was in Wyoming.

Little Kangaroo jump and play. Done. Jump like a kangaroo. Done. But a bar was in a bear's home. Meat too for the supper in a cookbook called meat, soup and ground turkey pies. And a bear was standing outside a vulture's home, which had lots of meat too. It had old dead bears that died. "I want to have some grass," said the bear. The bear was hungry. The coyote wanted to visit too. He was knocking on the door.

Tomatoes

I wish I could tell you that we are eating tomatoes. We still are not. I look at them every day and they are the same as they were last week. I think I need to find a warmer spot in the house for them. The Aerogarden does produce some heat, but things just are not growing. On the plus side I moved out the chives and the lettuce and put them in some water and set them in the window. They are now doing very well. I need to cut the chives. I would say in a couple of weeks we will be able to have some lettuce. I might just have to use a little heater to warm the room where the tomatoes are. Happy growing!!
