Red Dawn Rising, by Sue Duffy, is the sequel to The Sound of Red Returning.

In this sequel, Cass Rodino and Evgeny Kozlov (former KGB assassin) are working separately to find the Architect.  Although they are separate, they have the famous pianist, Liesl Bower, in common.  They need to save her from assassination and the United States from a terrorist attack.

They are compelled to work for the CIA and FBI to stop the resurrection of the Soviet Union and keep the U.S. president’s administration intact.

About the Author-

Sue Duffy currently lives with her family in South Carolina.  She is an award-winning author and writer.  She has written Mortal Wounds, Fatal Loyalty, and The Sound of Red Returning.

My thoughts-

Red Dawn Rising, by Sue Duffy was very good.  I enjoy mystery and suspense and she delivered.  I never knew what was going to happen next to Cass or Evgeny.

My favorite part was all of the detail and descriptions of the ordinary aspects of the characters’ daily lives.  Sometimes those details are left out and I enjoy them, because it makes the characters in the story more real for me.  It makes me feel like I am a part of their lives.

I enjoyed the entire book, so there was nothing I disliked, but I wish I had been able to read the first book first.  I would have enjoyed knowing the back story.  I am really excited for the last book in the trilogy.  It is a series I want to continue reading.

I would recommend this book to all adults who want mystery and suspense.
